Travel Maternity Session

I was so honored to capture this beautiful beach Maternity session. We took a quick trip out of Atlanta and were able to spend a few days in the sunshine and sand. The state park these were taken at only allows visitors during specific hours, unfortunately those hours are the brightest and most direct/harsh light of the day. Sometimes you have to decide what you value more, and, in this instance, I was willing to work with harsh light, pray for clouds and sweat more than I would want to in order to capture waves crashing into the rocks for this sweet Mama to be. 

I provided the gowns used in the images, and as you can tell the blue gave some beautiful complementary vibes to the water, and sky. It was serving Ariel for a bit. I always love using the white dress as it is versatile and can expose belly for shots as well as be pulled up to cover. You will see both versions of it in the images I am sharing. Maternity sessions really are such a sweet moment to capture and cherish in portraits. As a professional photographer, I am part of so many special moments in my clients lives and I really find these to be some of my favorite sessions to share. The hope of everything to come is so high, and the pure sleep deprived exhaustion of newborn parent life hasn't hit yet. Congratulations Sami and Byron! I can't wait to meet the little man on the way!
