I am proud to have spent more than a decade working to perfect those sweet little newborn studio images that everyone goes crazy for! From the perfect pose to showing off those 10 little toes, I try to capture many unique and creative poses in each session while making sure parents have a large and beautiful gallery of edited images to select from. The time frame will pass in a blur for most parents, they grow very quickly in those first few weeks that you really have only that short period of time to capture the newborn portraits. In fact, I usually schedule newborns between 6 and 21 days from their due date. This time frame has been determined by more than 10 years of capturing these sessions and seeing what is most successful for the baby, parents and posing. Mom deserves a few days to recover, baby needs time to get use to eating in the outside world and pushing the session beyond the 21-day mark means that babies tiny ligaments and cartilage are beginning to solidify, and they are less squishy and bendy. 

Making your life a bit easier: I try to make things very simple for clients. If you have poses, themes or colors in mind you can send them over. If you just know you want beautiful images, you can keep the questionnaire simple with a few color suggestions. The best part is when you arrive for the session, everything will already be setup, you can grab a bottle of water or make yourself a coffee, have a little snack and sit down. You can observe from your seat, scroll your phone, or take a walk outside, just be back for parent poses! Once you arrive, I will ask a few questions about last time baby ate and collect the baby to begin. 

A short two hours (often less) later and you are back out the door with your snuggly baby and hopefully a lot of excitement about the images to come. After our session you will be able to handle everything else from home in terms of selecting images, ordering printed products and of course sharing the good word of how much you loved working with me! Within 48 hours of our shoot you will have an email linking you to my social media pages to view your sneak peek. Please share it by tagging yourself or clicking share. Then within 14 days you will have your second email with a full gallery of edited images ready for you to select your included number of digital downloads from and finally select to add on any printed products from the professional lab you would like shipped to you.
